 WHY BOYS FAIL IN COLLEGE

Q.NO.1:  How does financial pressure lead to the failure of students described in  the lesson? Do you have similar cases in your country?                          

Ans:  Some poor students have to earn to meet their college expenses. So, much of their time is wasted. As a result, they fail. We have such students in our college.

Q.NO.2:  To what extent does the question of health become a cause of failure at college? How far can the college authorities with their medical officers can help student in such cases?

Ans:  The students suffering from bad health cannot pay head to their studies. As a result, they fail. The college doctor can tell them their problem. He can treat them. 

Q.NO.3:  What place would you accord to sportsmen in college?

Ans:  The main purpose of a college is to give education. But it does not ignore games. If a student is too much interested in games, he should be asked to become a professional player.

Q.NO.4:  There are some students who join college for fun of it. Should they be allowed to stay?

Ans:  A college is meant for studies. Those who join the college for fun should not be allowed to stay in the college.

 Ans:  The boys fail in college due to the following reasons:

1.      Nervous habits

2.      mistaken ambition

3.      over confidence

4.      poor health

5.      financial pressure     

6.      careless attitude

Ans: There are two types of boys who fail in the college: 

J Those who try but cannot concentrate on these studies.

Ans:  Nervous habits are the inborn mental habits which do not allow the students to concentrate on their studies. Whenever a student sits at a desk to study, he gets busy in some other activities. No one can uproot the nervous habits but the boy himself.

Q.NO.8:  How do mistaken ambition on the part of boys and their parents lead to their failure of the boy?

Ans:  Some intelligent boys are forced by their parents to choose the subjects which they dislike. This is mistaken ambition. As a result of mistaken ambition, the boys fail in college. The writer advises the parents not to force the students to take an undesired path.

Ans:  The bright boys do their school work with little effort. They think that they can pass the college exam in the same way. Due to over confidence, they fail incollege. The writer calls the bright boys the most pitiable object.

Ans:  There should be a proper cooperation between the college staff and doctor. If a student is not taking interest in his work and its reason is not clear, he should be sent to a doctor to find out his problem.

Ans:  The doctor has found T.B, Bad tonsils, Sleeping sickness, poor digestion and various mental and nervous problems among the college students.

Q.NO.12:  What is the importance of physical health in our life?

Ans:  Physical health is very important in our life. It gives us courage and vigour to face the problems of life. It also helps us to succeed.

Q.NO.13. How can the college authorities solve the problem of financial difficulty?  What is the role of college dean?

ANSWER: The college dean can solve the problem. He should find the poor students and help them with scholarship funds
